Announcements from Mary Ann Hartwick on Aug 25, 2008:

Here it is -August 25th - and the marching band has already done a parade, a football game and a performance for the teachers!

Our marching band students have practice afterschool on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3 to 5 pm. They need to dress for the hot afternoons, as well as bring water bottles and sunscreen. We have another home game this Friday. Report time is 6:45 sharp and students will wear summer uniforms (remember those black socks and shoes). Quite a few students were late last Friday. Please do all you can to help your student be on time :)

Thanks to Becky and Steve Nevil, Theresa and Hugh Meyer, and Julie Suhr for helping clean out the band closet!

The amount of parental support during Friday night's activities was truly outstanding. From running and staffing the end-zone concession stand to the pit crew to chaperones, over twenty parents were on hand and on the job! Great job everyone!

I'm currently waiting on the accounting for concessions from Friday night. I'll let you know how it went when I know.

We are still looking for buyers for our eleven columns (the props from last year's marching band show), and numerous tarps (props from previous years). If you are great with computers and things like eBay - we need your help!
